Basic Epoxy Coating

Basic Epoxy is a smooth, even layer that is spread on your concrete floor, creating a simple look and providing little to no texture. It is the first layer that is laid before broadcasting chip flakes or quartz sand.

    1. Strong Bond: It adhere’s well to concrete, metals, plastics and composites, and can likely be applied to most surfaces.

    2. Chemical Resistant: It is known for its resistance to many chemicals. Including acids, bases and solvents.

    3. Durable: It has long-lasting performance for high traffic use, and is resistant to wear and tear.

    4. Easy to Clean: Once applied, the surface is smooth and easy to clean and maintain. This makes it suitable for high-traffic areas.

    1. Clear the Area: We ask that you clear the area and remove all items from the space.

    2. Grind the Floor + Edges: First we use a diamond grinder or shot blaster to roughen the surface, or remove any previous coating. This creates a better bond between the concrete and epoxy.

    3. Repair Cracks: Then, we fill any cracks or holes with a patching compound and allow it to dry.

    4. Sweep + Clean: Grinding creates a bunch of dust -so we sweep + clean making sure all dirt and dust is gone.

    5. Mix + Apply Epoxy: Mix the epoxy components, and apply it to the floor using a roller.

    6. Seal with a Topcoat: After everything has dried. We apply a clear topcoat to protect the epoxy and give it a glossy finish.

    7. Let it Cure!: This takes around 24-48 hours.

  • It is widely used in industrial and commercial spaces to coat the floors of warehouses, garages and other facilities.

Although most commonly used in those areas above, we have seen it used in residential spaces before. All depending on the look you want to achieve.
